The lab computer I chose to use tonight had tons of images of tomatoes on the desktop...  Huh.  Weird.

Again, understanding how to run eludes me.  It all looks really, painfully mechanical.  And bouncy.  Leapy, even.  Like a deer or some kind of deer...thing.  Antelope, there's a thing that leaps!  Famous for leaping, in fact.

I'm now thinking a little bit of ways to avoid animating a full run cycle.   Oh, I knew I was going to hate myself for picking the action scene.

In the meantime, here's another one of those Things I do instead of working.  To be fair, this might be part of the end of my animation, so there's that.

Egon's looking to get a kick to the... ouchie parts. >_>

And also, because I'm desperate for some help, please, somebody, anybody, laugh at my hideous attempts at a run cycle and tell me what I'm doing wrong.  It's so bad.

  1. It's not as bad as you think but there does seem to be something slightly off. I've tried slowing it down and looking at the frames but I can't figure it out.

    Maybe look at Justin's run cycle. He just posted his. It looks like his character is doing a full on sprint and airborne at times...

  2. Ah, yeah. Comparing that to mine, I think I have a couple ideas on how I should improve it. Weight and movement are the two big factors, I think.

    Now that I've said that, I'll probably not be able to improve it at all tonight >_>;
